Hypericum (also known as St John’s wort) has been one of the most talked about herbs in the past 10 years, but has actually been widely-used for centuries, for treating nervous conditions. A report from Germany states that there are about three million prescriptions written annually for hypericum, making it more popular than other conventional “anxiety” drugs. Hypericum (also known as St John’s Wort) has been traditionally used in western herbal medicine:
• to relieve irritability, nervous tension / unrest and restlessness
• as a calmative / nervous system relaxant
• to soothe / calm the nerves
• as a nervine to support the nervous system
• to support general health and wellbeing.
Directions For Use
Adults take 5 mL of tincture 3 times daily between meals.
Dosage may be mixed with 100 mL of water or juice and consumed immediately.
