Gloriously Free TRADITIONAL OATS – Traditional by Name, Delicious by Nature!
“Tested down to Nil Gluten.”
GF Traditional Oats will fill your bellies and warm your hearts!
GF Oats are the same oats you see in other parts of the world labelled gluten free AND test down to nil gluten. Our TRADITIONAL STEAMED ROLLED OATS are sourced from specialised farmers growing some of the most nutritious oats in the world.
GF Traditional/Conventional Oats are uniquely grown and processed in certified facilities that are free from the contamination from the gluten found in wheat, rye, spelt and barley grains. Farmers use minimal impact growing techniques and crop exclusion zones. Their oats seed is sourced from their own heritage seed stocks and has a unique roasted creamy flavour that comes from their unique shelf stable mill processes and production line that is free of the top 8 allergens.
Considerations: This brand is part of the Purity Oats group of growers. The Nil gluten test results are displayed on the compliance page. It is important to note that in Australia, a product that contains oats cannot be labelled gluten free due to current food labelling laws.

Q. Are GF Oats gluten free?
A. These are the same oats sold and labelled as gluten-free in the USA, Canada, UK and most of Europe.
Q. So why aren’t they labelled gluten free?
A. Due to restrictions in the current Australian labelling laws, we are unable to make a claim on packaging that any product containing oats are gluten free.
Q. Aren’t oats naturally gluten free?
A. Oats are generally contaminated at the farm level as farmers grow other gluten containing grains and then use the same machinery in their processing, storing or carting.
Q. Are these oats safe for Coeliacs?
A. These oats are grown and produced by the Smith family in Wyoming who are a family of Coeliacs, so they understand the disease, it’s complications and the need for a pure uncontaminated oats products that customers can trust.
Q. Where are these oats grown and why can’t we grow them in Australia?
A. For 13 years GK Gluten Free Foods has been supplying you with beautiful oats sourced from the USA. However, we are excited to advise that we are slowly transitioning over to our Aussie farmers who are now able to supply us with pure GF uncontaminated Oats of the same quality.
These oats have passed the #bloodygoodoats test and we know you are going to LOVE them as much as you loved the oats from the USA. This hard decision to discontinue the supply of oats from the US has been initiated due to the increased cost of US oats, the deflated Aussie dollar, increased freight costs and supply chain issues. Be rest assured that we will be replacing the US stock with oats of equivalent quality that are sourced from our very own Aussie farmers. Q. What does <3ppm mean?
This effectively is the lowest that the Elisa Testing Equipment tests down to for the detection of gluten. All products on the market that are labelled gluten-free in Australia will test to <3ppm which equates to ‘0’ or nil detected.
Q. Are GF Oats sprayed or irradiated?
We are very excited to tell you that the entire range of GF Oats has no exposure to any chemicals at the farm level during processing or during the importation process. As the oats are already processed and are not in their Raw seed form we are not required to adhere to any irradiation procedure at customs.
Q. What are the benefits of buying organic oats?
If you are wondering why you should consider changing your family’s diet to one that incorporates organic products, there are many independent studies that show the benefits of choosing organic foods where you can. These benefits include more nutritional value, better flavour, and reducing your exposure to chemicals and pesticides.
